Home Staging Is Worth It!

The real estate market is competitive and sellers are always looking for ways to increase their home's online presence. In today's mobile society, most buyers are scouring the internet before ever looking at a home in person. Having the right photos will increase your viewers and thus increase the foot traffic to your home. Your home's visual aesthetic can make or break your sale. With most buyers looking for a move in ready home, if your photos depict clutter or outdated

decor and appliances a buyer may avoid your home altogether. A staged home says to buyers "this home is well maintained and move in ready." Staging enhances key architectural features and increases the perception of room size while minimizing the features that don't add value to your home. You need buyers to connect and envision themselves living in your space or they won't make that offer you covet. The National Association of Realtors reports that 81% of buyers find it easier to visualize the property as a future home when it is staged. Home staging focuses on the buyers needs and lifestyle so that you can make top dollar. According to the 2016 Real estate and Staging Association report, homes that are staged prior to listing sell 90% faster and for more money once on the market. Staged homes average just 41 days on the market while an un-staged home averages 184 days on the market. Each month that your home stays on the market you have carrying costs such as a mortgage, utilities and taxes that will eat into the profits gained when your home finally sells. A faster sale means a greater return on your investment. The success of selling your home may just be in the staging details. The cost of staging your home is always less than your first price reduction!
